Welcome back to another week of Everitt Bangin’ Blogs! This week’s blog will focus on two things:
Key performance indicators & advice from content strategist, Ron Abraham.
Key Performance Indicators:
Ricqcolia Phillip gave very essential points on key performance indicators, and what they mean for content strategists.
Measuring Success: KPIs offer a tool to assess the accomplishment and efficiency of content strategy. Without precise data, it might be difficult to determine whether the content is succeeding in meeting its objectives.
Alignment with Objectives: KPIs assist in ensuring that content initiatives are in line with more general corporate goals. material strategists may provide material that directly advances these goals by identifying particular KPIs.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: KPIs may be used by content strategists to make data-driven decisions. They can determine what is working and what is not by examining KPI data, and they can then change their strategies effectively.
Audience Insights: KPIs might reveal information about audience preferences and behavior. Content strategists may better understand their audience by examining the data underlying KPIs, which will enable them to create content that is tailored to their requirements.
There is an app called YouTube Studio and I lived on that app when I was working for Flavor Savors this summer as their content strategist. I was able to check all the KPI’s. For example, I was able to see the watch time, average view duration, and demographics. I would be on the app at least 8 times a day as it really showed me which videos were doing well, and what videos weren’t doing well, so I would have to find solutions to improve and do better.
My Experience:
Content strategist, Ron Abraham, says that having detailed outcomes and goals keeps content strategists in check for whatever they are producing/marketing. For example, when I was making videos for Flavor Savers, with every video I put out, I always wanted to outdo the last one. This was a primary goal I set for myself because I wanted to keep a high standard for myself because I knew it would help me improve my ability and skills.
Having goals keeps consistency. Consistency helps everything flow together, efficiently and effectively and that is something every content strategist, such as myself, needs to keep in mind in order to be successful with my audience.
