Welcome back to another blog post! Today we have a lot of exciting things to discuss!
Ricqcolia Phillip explains that Key Performance Indicators (a.k.a KPI’s) is what helps you measure the effectiveness of your content, and indicates the impact it is making on your audience!
Every content creator needs to know what is working and what still needs to be refined. Here are some things a content creator should consider to measure success by using KPI’s
- Site Views→ You may use tools like Google Analytics to analyze the performance of your posts and observe how users engage with them. You may also create monthly or quarterly goals and benchmarks to track success.

- Social Shares→ shares are a more important measure to analyze since 1. they signal that your information was engaging or valuable enough to share with others, and 2. they expose your work to a bigger audience.

- Audience Engagement→ Commenting and saving posts are also excellent markers of success, since they show how your audience feels about your specific content and your brand in general. By tracking engagement, you can also discover what works best with your audience and what to reproduce in future content.

- Follower Growth→ if your Subscribers and followers rates are increasing then it is a pretty good indicator that your content is connecting with your audience and they want to see more.
Here are ways I would use KPI’s for my advantage as a content strategist:
- Setting clear goals→ Define specific KPIs aligned with my content objectives.
- Monitoring performance→ Regularly track and analyze KPI data.
- Adjusting strategies→ Use insights to refine content and optimize results.
- Engaging with the audience→ Respond to KPI feedback and adapt to audience preferences.
- Scaling success→ Replicate strategies that drive positive KPI outcomes.
Another important thing that was discussed this week is when Ron Abraham, the co-founder of Domin8 Digital, which is a digital marketing agency that helps fashion and beauty brands scale their marketing performance. Ron makes it very clear that having a strong understanding of people’s consuming patterns is a skill that content strategists need to have because it brings awareness in how to increase sales, and also makes marketing efforts for loyal customers. Ron elaborates that content strategists should have specific goals as well because it keeps them consistent with their marketing, and it keeps the process going!
Alright, that’s all for this week’s blog! Catch you in the next one!
