Hi there! Welcome back to my weekly blogs where we determine whether the speaker is worth your time and energy! Last week, we looked at Huy Tran, an award-winning photographer, as well as a marketing manager and an economist. From his presentation, we determined that he was a Pass, and totally worth listening to!
This week, our guest presenter is Brooke Inhat, a strategic communications specialist with over 6 years of experience. In her career, she has a record of creating high-profile and award-winning social and brand campaigns within the market.
As mentioned in her bio, her life motto is “its better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission”, and that is the first and the main element that caught my attention! I love this motto because in life, oftentimes it is better to do something you want and later ask for forgiveness, rather than ask for permission and regret not doing what you want. Based on her motto, i can already say she’s a pass!
In her presentation, she talked a lot about her career experience, and how it was working in each job. It was very interesting to hear how it was, and the experience she got, especially since I am very interested in the same job as her.
Brooke also talked about her job in the social comms which was very interesting. When explaining what she does in the job she mentioned how the job is never the same. This part of the presentation really stuck with me because when working in a job, one of the key factors that keeps me interested are new things and opportunities. When the job is constantly the same, it gets very tiring and annoying soon, it becomes a routine in which u cannot grow or experience new opportunities.
Brooke really got me interested in the job route she is in which made her presentation so much more interesting and engaging!
Overall, Brooke said a lot of useful information which can be used and applied in the future.
From her presentation, I can tell she’s a total PASS!
This one was a success, and I am very excited to see what’s coming up next.
Thank you, PASS!
