These photo series is a story line of my older sister’s day in the life. She works for my dad which results her into always doing something.

I created a advertisement for my balloon decor business. It is a quick skit between friends finding a decor company for a birthday party.

Personal Reflection

Looking back at where I started at the beginning of the semester, I can clearly see how much I’ve grown in both my technical skills and my confidence as a creator. The area I improved the most was definitely my photography and filming. Before this class, I didn’t always think about composition, lighting, or how to build a story visually. Throughout each project, I found myself paying closer attention to small details and becoming more intentional with every shot. My editing skills also developed a lot, especially as I learned how to refine pacing, adjust visuals, and create smoother transitions that support the overall message.

My photo series, which followed a “day in the life” of my sister, was the project I’m most proud of. I put a lot of genuine effort into planning the shots, capturing natural moments, and making sure the series felt cohesive and personal. Seeing the final results match my original vision was really rewarding and made me appreciate how creative photography can be when you approach it thoughtfully.

For my audio assignment, I chose to focus on my balloon business, TNT Decor. This was a fun challenge because I had to think about how to communicate who I am and what I do using only sound. It pushed me to consider tone, pacing, and storytelling in a different way. My video assignment , getting ready for a Sweet Sixteen  allowed me to be more playful and aesthetic with my filming style. It helped me experiment with angles and movement to create something visually engaging.

My least favourite part of the class was definitely the deadlines. Balancing multiple projects at once wasn’t always easy, but it taught me how important time management is in any type of media production.

Through this process, I learned that I enjoy creative storytelling much more than I expected. I discovered that I like finding ways to make everyday moments visually interesting and meaningful. Going forward, I want to continue exploring photography and video production, especially lifestyle based content. This class helped me realize that I have the ability to create work I’m proud of. I just need to trust my ideas and give myself the space to experiment.
