Reflection Statement
Looking back on this semester I realized a few things. I feel that my most improved skill is learning the ins and out of premiere pro and audio recording. When coming into this semester I had no prior experience to using premiere pro and how it worked. Looking at it in the past it always looked really complicated and confusing, when in reality it is just like any normal editing software just has more ability to fine tune your video to create something amazing and professional. With the audio portion I found that it was really easy to record, upload and edit the audio into a short voiceover or podcast and I truly enjoyed it and more than I thought I would. My least favorite part was I wish I could have been more creative in general when it comes to all of the assignments and had a bit more thought when creating my audio and video and allowing myself to step outside of my comfort zone. The most significant thing I learned this semester is that learning these adobe are softwares is pretty easy to use once you actually learn how to use them properly and I learned new things in photoshop that I didn’t know previously. I find that it is always useful to learn new skills or a new way to do something so you can further your skills and become better at what you want to do. As a creator I learned that whatever I set my mind to I can achieve. In terms of being creative and executing the projects the way I want them to be done, I found that I have pushed myself to see what I can do in terms of production and editing, that I did not know I could do. The most challenging part of creating my media content is the organizing and planning part of it. I find that when I have a creative project I need to plan my shots and then execute it the way I want the project to look. That aspect also translates to the editing portion of my projects as well. Based on my experience I would like to explore more about how I can improve on my videography, graphic design and how to continue building my portfolio. The skills I will want to bring to my future projects and my career are all of them, whether that is photography, audio or video. I feel like I will use all these skills in my career considering I love creating content and posting it on social media.
