This Post Highlights A Type of User Persona for my Blog

In my previous blog post, I highlighted what is to come and what to expect from my blog moving forward. However, in this post I am going to show types of user personas, people that would potentially be interested in my content and represent a type of demographic for my blog. Since my blog focuses primarily on sports, I will provide a persona on a sports fanatic, looking for all things sports news and insight on his favourite teams or leagues.

Toronto Maple Leafs diehard fan

Name: David Johnson, Age: 32, Occupation: Construction Technician, Personality: funny, hard working, caring.

Interests: Toronto Maple Leafs fanatic, spending time with family and friends, enjoys a night out with the boys.

Scenario: David is a huge Toronto sports fan, as he has been a diehard fan his entire life. David is looking to find new sources of sports news and personal blogs for him to read but is struggling to find a good combination of both. David is a part of many fantasy sports leagues for the upcoming season and is looking for previews and insight to what he can do to win it all this season. What website, our source can David use to gather all of the information and advice that he needs?

My personal blog is the perfect choice for David to receive any of this information that he is looking for as I provide insight and advice to the topics that he is interested in the most. User Persona’s we are big topic highlighted this week and I wanted to give my readers more insight into what I believe is the average user that will be viewing my weekly posts. There can be a couple of different users who will view my blog because it is not just sports, as will cover other topics under more, but this is my main target demographic.

Keep on the lookout for more weekly blog posts coming your way!

Land Acknowledgment

The University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College are located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. Known as Adoobiigok, the “Place of the Black Alders” in the Mississauga language, the region is uniquely situated along Humber River Watershed, which historically provided an integral connection for Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples between the Ontario Lakeshore and the Lake Simcoe/Georgian Bay regions. Now home to people of numerous nations, Adoobiigok continues to provide a vital source of interconnection for all. We acknowledge and honour the land we are walking on, the moccasin tracks of our ancestors and the footprints of the future generations to come.
