Week 3 Blog Post!
Welcome back! Today we have some great stuff to babble about, so let’s get into it!

I found the discussions in class this week interesting! I am very interested in the aspect of being creative when discussing user personas. I think Miranda would love her caramel apple ice coffee that she can get for $2.99 and feel energised for the day! 💁 I think that you could go very in depth and you can create a few very detailed people and aid in your targeted marketing.
I think the rock example from the NNGroup video was very helpful as well! I think that saying it in a simple way helps me to grasp the topics as sometimes I struggle with larger concepts.
This can be connected back to our readings when the article by BrainTraffic states when we are creating content and content plans, we need to ensure we are creating it not only for the customer or business, but also when it might be needed and why! Just like the time it takes to categorise the rocks, we need to assess why we are creating the content and when it might be used. The example of a website where someone is panicked and looking for certain services resonated with me and further proved the points above.
Special Guest of the Week!
Our special guest this week we got to “e-meet” was Ebony-Renee Baker, a fashion editor with Refinery29 UK and she was filled with great information!
What stuck out to me overall was her decision to persevere and her drive to fight for what she wants. I am interested as well in travelling and potentially going to the UK and she is an inspiration for this! She additionally covered how she applied to the job she wanted at Refinery29 many times, and was rejected but she persevered, learnt the valuable skills and is able to have her dream job now and make a name for herself! I would be interested in my internship to look at something potentially in the UK or somewhere else in the world, and her ideology is important to consider for myself. I also enjoyed her ideology about how social media is truly a tool to be used. I definitely have not commented enough or tried to connect with others via social media. I think I will look into this more and try and network even further. Hey, if you are reading this, you can follow me on linkedin and we can start networking there! ;)

Additionally when looking into Ebony more to find some images and learn what she is doing now I was disheartened to see she is on bereavement leave currently and I hope she is able to grieve properly and feel better soon. Thoughts and prayer for Ebony at this time.
