Reflecting upon the interview with Ebony and this week’s readings, one thing that stuck out to me was the importance and impact of target audiences. In this blog post, I discuss why establishing a target audience is key to creating a following and loyalty to your brand. I touch upon some key points, including originality, branded content, and having a voice and values online to maintain relationships between your target audience and brand. All of these topics relate to the idea of establishing a target audience and moving forward to develop a bond and sense of loyalty with your consumers.

The University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College are located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. Known as Adoobiigok, the “Place of the Black Alders” in the Mississauga language, the region is uniquely situated along Humber River Watershed, which historically provided an integral connection for Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples between the Ontario Lakeshore and the Lake Simcoe/Georgian Bay regions. Now home to people of numerous nations, Adoobiigok continues to provide a vital source of interconnection for all.
