Discussing the Significance of Culture in Sports & Other Aspects of Media

Culture plays a big role within the sports world, as many cultures and people from all around the world enjoy many sports, and some sports have a plethora of cultures of different players and fans. For example, many consider soccer “the world’s game” cause many cultures of players participate within the sport. Any and all parts of the world participate in soccer, especially with one of the biggest international competitions the World Cup. Many fans from all around the world support their country as many regard it as one of, if not the biggest worldwide sporting event.

No matter where you are from, or who you cheer for, all are welcomed and many embrace the massive worldwide affect that sports can have. There have been instances where teams and fans have not embraced culture on their teams in the past, but as more and more people want to play the sport they love, the more accepting players and fans must be. For many sports the goal should be to grow the game and broaden demographics in each sport. Keeping an open mind and embracing new cultures will continue to grow not just sports, but the entire world around us.

In relation to content creation, exploring different cultures through the content we put out there on social media and beyond will continue to spread the good message of embracing culture and showing off diversity through our content. We must be able to shape the narrative through the content appealing to any desired market or culture through the different marketing and advertising that is produced.
