Dee Thompson is a Canadian blogger from Hamilton, Ontario. She had some time on her hands and was bale to speak to our class about being a blogger and content strategist and talk about what she does with our class. There was many things I learned about being a blogger but one of the main takeaways for me was when she said, “take your time and make sure you love it before you launch it.” Not everything has to be rushed and put out immediately, obviously everything has deadlines but starting out as a blogger you need to take your time and create something that people want to see. The tips Dee told us gave me a good sense of how you can take something you love and bring it to life. She gave me motivation to do something I love and if I want to do something I can do it.
Connecting back to creating user personas for businesses. Dee is a great example of someone that would create a user persona for her brand. Blogging is something that is audience based. Creating a user persona helps with being able to define your audience and create content that fits your audiences needs.
