This assignment was a photo essay where we had to tell a story through a series of photos. I decided to try to capture a day in the life of my two dogs, Thor and Loki. I followed them around all day and captured almost 400 photos of their adventures and narrowed it down to 10 that I think perfectly captured their chill Saturday at home.

For this audio assignment, I made an advertisement for VR Chat that could be played on platforms like Spotify or Soundcloud. I used musical elements to make the listener immerse themselves in all the fun activities that you can do in VR Chat.

For this video assignment, I traveled back to my hometown of Kingston, Ontario, to film a vlog-style video of what I do when I come home from University. I had my best friend from college, Lexi, join me, so it made the filming of this video really fun.

For the vertical, I made it just about my time downtown and made it a fun travel video for downtown Kingston.

I made all the graphics used in the video in Canva.

Land Acknowledgement

The University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College are located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. Known as Adoobiigok, the “Place of the Black Alders” in the Mississauga language, the region is uniquely situated along Humber River Watershed, which historically provided an integral connection for Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples between the Ontario Lakeshore and the Lake Simcoe/Georgian Bay regions. Now home to people of numerous nations, Adoobiigok continues to provide a vital source of interconnection for all. We acknowledge and honour the land we are walking on, the moccasin tracks of our ancestors and the footprints of the future generations to come.
