These are 4 projects I’ve worked on throughout the Media Production Toolkit class , which are:

- A photoshoot
- An advertisement video
- A YouTube Shorts for the audio assignment
- Data visualization

I chose the same brand for all of these projects so It’ll also create a marketing campaign for this brand in the end.

Brand Photoshoot

This photoshoot was created for the advertising campaign of Minute Maid’s juice product. The photos were mostly taken outdoors to create a sense of freshness and purity. Juice is also a great idea for picnics and outdoor activities, making this concept a perfect fit for the shoot. Additionally, the images were captured from various angles with different photography techniques, such as wide-angle shots, close-ups, background blur,... to bring different engaging perspectives.

Commercial Video

This is the commercial video I created for Minute Maid. The main concept is that this product brings freshness and energy. The first part of the video shows black-and-white scenes, creating a feeling of boredom and tiredness. In the second part, the main character passes through each scene, turning them into colorful ones. When the main character opens her bag, viewers can see that she always carries a bottle of Minute Maid juice with her. This is why she stays energetic and brings freshness to all the places she passes by.

Commercial Audio

This is the YouTube Short I created for the audio assignment. It is a shorter, vertical version of the original commercial video, using the same footage but with simpler editing. The focus is on the sound effects and background music to make the message stand out. The vertical format and short length make it perfect for platforms like YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels, helping the message reach people faster and more easily. This version highlights the energy and freshness of the product in a simple but clear way.

Data Visualization

This is a pair of bar charts comparing data between Minute Maid (MM) and one of its competitors, Citrus Hill (CH), in two categories: total revenue and total customer count. The first chart shows that Citrus Hill has a higher total revenue compared to Minute Maid, while the second chart points out that Citrus Hill also leads in customer count. These visualizations were created to provide a clear comparison between the two brands, making it easier to understand their performance in these key areas.

Land Acknowledgement

The University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College are located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. Known as Adoobiigok, the “Place of the Black Alders” in the Mississauga language, the region is uniquely situated along Humber River Watershed, which historically provided an integral connection for Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples between the Ontario Lakeshore and the Lake Simcoe/Georgian Bay regions. Now home to people of numerous nations, Adoobiigok continues to provide a vital source of interconnection for all. We acknowledge and honour the land we are walking on, the moccasin tracks of our ancestors and the footprints of the future generations to come.
