PlayStation Photo Assignment

For this assignment I was inspired by PlayStation brand photos in the past. I looked to incorporate product shots as well as shots with people using the product, with some technical elements like unique framing and depth of field. Between the shots of people, and the PlayStation products themselves, these photos showcase the PlayStation motto of “Play has no limits”.

PlayStation Video Assignment

The idea behind this video was to tell a story about a person discovering the joys of PlayStation. The girl finds a PlayStation controller like a long lost relic, and then is captivated by the PlayStation and the games available. Through compelling perspective shots, and clever cuts between gameplay and live action, this video demonstrates the joy and fun one experiences when playing on a PlayStation console.

PlayStation Audio Assignment

This assignment was to cut down the original video to 30 seconds and then add a script. This social media video incorporates clips from the 2 minute video and weaves them together with the new script in order to create something new.

PlayStation Stats

These statistics showcase my photography and videography stats, such as shot types, and what is featured in the shots. Additionally, included are some PlayStation business stats to give an overview of the brand as a whole.

Land Acknowledgement

The University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College are located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. Known as Adoobiigok, the “Place of the Black Alders” in the Mississauga language, the region is uniquely situated along Humber River Watershed, which historically provided an integral connection for Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples between the Ontario Lakeshore and the Lake Simcoe/Georgian Bay regions. Now home to people of numerous nations, Adoobiigok continues to provide a vital source of interconnection for all. We acknowledge and honour the land we are walking on, the moccasin tracks of our ancestors and the footprints of the future generations to come.
